DOT Day Explorations
Description:
International Dot Day is when students are able to make art in the general shape of circles or dots. Students are encouraged to use their imaginations and creativeness to use for their art. For this project we were given a coffee filter, regular crayons, oil-based crayons, water colors, and sharpies. We were told that we could create whatever we wanted. I used water colors, oil-based crayons, regular crayons and sharpies in my project.
Extension Activity:
For my dot day project I would have each student paint their hands with black paint and press it onto paper, which would be their tree. I would them give them q-tips and tell them that they can use whatever colors and make however many dots they want to create the leaves on the tree. When they were dry I would then hang them above their lockers in the hallway.
