Elements and Principles


Description:

            For this project we went over many different elements and principles in art. We needed to take 12 different pictures that covered: shapes, texture, lines, value, emphasis, color, space, contrast, movement/rhythm, balance, patterns/repetition, and unity. After we took the pictures, we put them into either a PowerPoint or made a game for the class. 

Extension Activity:  

            When covering all of the elements and principles I would like to spend a little bit more time on them and have them spaced out and do some little projects within them. I think taking the time on each one and making sure that the students understand them could really benefit them and help them remember them. After we have gone through them all I would have had them keep all their little projects that we did and put them into a binder and they would then "present" them to the rest of the class so that the other students can see some other ideas of what their peers did.
